*Exfoliate your entire body and shave the day/evening before. Focus on the driest areas: elbows, knees, hands, feet and back of your ankles. If a shower is taken the day of the spray tan rinse with ice cold water to help close the pores, making sure the tan doesn’t appear as little brown dots.
*The day of the spray avoid wearing any perfumes, creams, lotions, deodorant, & make-up. Starting with a fresh canvas is always best.
*Wear dark loose-fitting clothing and try to avoid wearing a bra, socks, anything with a tight elastic band, hats, or denim post tan.
*Make sure to schedule all other spa treatments before your spray tan and preferably on a previous day. If it’s a must on the same day, please let your beauty provider know so they can avoid oily product usage and warm water.
*Get ready to look like you’ve been kissed by the sun with none of the UV damage and aging!
*Avoid any moisture for a minimum of 8 hours but no more than 24 hours post tan. This includes showering, exercising, lotions, liquid foundations, etc.
*Avoid wearing restrictive clothing like a bra, socks, anything with a tight elastic band, or denim while tan is developing.
*Don’t fret if you are feeling a little dark, orange, and sticky directly after the tan. This is the bronzer and once you have showered you will notice it washing away, leaving your skin tanned & glowing.
*Take shorter, cooler showers instead of long, hot ones.
*Pat yourself dry instead of rubbing your skin with a towel.
*Moisturize daily using a natural oil-free lotion like Lubriderm.
*Don’t use an exfoliant until you’re preparing to spray again.
*Stay away from anything that will strip your tan such as strong soaps, chlorine, products containing acids, massages, fashion tape, and bandages.
